This is the Lot o Tumbler a vibrating rock polisher. The rubber barrel can polish a 4 -1/2 pound load of stones. Vibrating tumblers are faster then rotary tumblers at grinding rough stones to a smooth shape. The machines come with detailed instructions and enough grit and polish to do one load of stones. I would recommend getting an extra grit pack, it is enough to do about 20 batches of rocks. It would also be a good idea to get one extra barrel and use it just for the final polishing step only. This is recommended because rough grit can get embedded inside the rubber barrel and make it tough to get a high polish on your finished stones.
When you get your new polisher it will need to be attached to a smooth cement floor ( it comes with peal and stick strips ) or stick it on a painted cinder block. Vibrating machines require daily attention, the rocks create "mud" as they grind away and you need to give them a rinse and re-charge the barrel with a couple spoons of grit. You will get great results with your Lot O Tumbler they work very well on everything from agates to obsidian, ammo re-loaders use them to polish brass shell casings. The machines are noisy they "buzzzz" so I recommend setting it up in a basement or garage.
